Once overwhelmed and intimidated by these amusement rides, Randall now absolutely enjoys them. And the only problem has become “he can’t wait”! Standing outside the fence, Randall is making plans about which boat he will get on once he gets his turn, but then would get so frustrated when somebody else embarks on the boat he has claimed.

Just Another School Picnic
We are approaching the end of the school year. Here comes the spring picnic, while I can still recall the first school picnic that happened last fall. Back then Randall just sat there eating almost the whole time. His teacher, Veronica, told us that he had a favorite girl in the classroom. Right now we are watching him handing out a ball to this girl, trying to trade it for the one in her hand. Throughout the whole school year, we’ve seen him hugging, kissing or holding hands with other kids. He doesn’t talk very well yet, but he is definitely communicating.
Let’s go
NY Transit Museum
I knew he would love it. These are trains of New York subway from different years, and it feels like traveling back in time. Randall is running from one train to another, getting on and off, climbing up the chairs and grabbing the poles. Unstoppable.
Another interesting thing is when we headed from Borough Hall subway station to the museum, I suddenly realized that this was exactly the place we had stopped at for the Ikea shuttle bus three years back.
