School Picnic

Veronica, one of the teachers, told us that Randall was all about girls at the classroom. “If it’s Alex, he would be like ‘hi’ and then go away. Once he got to sleep next to Lenaig. And when he woke up, he was trying to lean over and kiss her.” she said, while taking out her phone and showing us the pictures, “You see, I got proof! You got caught, Randall.”

And not sure if it was his seeing Lenaig (the girl he had tried to kiss) get onto everything at the picnic that had aroused his climbing enthusiasm, he began conquering more challenging furniture at home the next morning. First was the TV stand, and next the coffee table.

Protest Against Water

Ran Ran had never agreed to take plain water so we had always had to make his “secret” mix as a way to avoid trouble for ourselves. That had worked perfectly fine until last week when we were told that he wouldn’t be offered fruit juice at daycare. Time for a change, or to be more accurate, a challenge. We knew it would be very hard, but what we didn’t know was how long it was gonna take.

We thought of all possible ways to make him drink water, but he only went from totally resisting it and constantly asking me to go back into the kitchen to get the “right” drink for him, to taking a sip and dropping the bottle right away. On the evening of day 3, daddy and I started talking about plan B. But all of a sudden it happened, like the stories we’ve been told, that one’s dreams come true when he is just about to give up. Right after breakfast of the fourth day, he picked up the bottle himself and drank from it. And at the end of the day he finished three whole bottles, well, certainly not as much as he used to drink, but good enough!

Hairstyle

So what hairstyle shall I wear today? No longer my call…

No hair in front of my face, no pulled back, and it can’t be completely tucked behind my ears either! It has to be perfect to his eye. And last night when I walked out of the bathroom wearing my bathrobe, the little one got upset again, trying to grab that off me. OMG, what a demanding lover!

Wipe

“All kids are smart. They surprise you all the time.” I always recall what our friend once said. Just a moment ago, our little boy accidentally splashed some water on the floor when drinking from his straw cup. I saw amazement in his eyes when he looked down at the water drops. All of a sudden, he ran off to the bedroom and returned immediately – with one of his own socks! He then bent down and began wiping the floor with this little sock. How I wish I had recorded this lovely moment with my camera!
